The purpose of classifying wallcoverings is to clarify the varying levels of weight, durability and safety. The Wallcovering Association (WA) created and maintains these TYPE standards.
We primarily work with Type ll wallcoverings as they provide the durability required for most commercial projects. Recently the WA published a new definition on Type ll wallcoverings called WA-101, along with a Sustainability Standard called the NSF-342. Click here to learn more about WA-101 and NSF-342. ​
